Kitchen Mystery Box Adventure

How it works

1. 1

   First, let's introduce the mystery box. Show your child the closed box and say something like, 'I have a special mystery box with secret kitchen treasures inside! What do you think might be in here?'

   Now take out one item (like a lemon slice). Place it in your child's hand and say, 'Here's our first mystery item! Use your detective senses. What do you notice?'

3. 3

   Now introduce a contrasting item (like a cinnamon stick). Say, 'Here's another mystery! This one is different. How is it different from the first one?'

4. 4

   For an extra challenge (optional), try blindfold exploration with a safe item. Say, 'Let's be super detectives! Close your eyes or use this scarf. Can you guess what this is just by touching and smelling?'
