How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by imagining a child who lives far away, maybe in a different part of China or another country. you, can you and your child pick one of our props and think about how a child from another culture might use it? For example, this bowl—could it be for rice, noodles, or something else?

  2. 2

Now let's think about feelings. you, can you ask your child: If that child from another place felt happy, what might make them happy? Maybe playing a game, eating a favorite food, or being with family?

  3. 3

Let's put it into a tiny story. you, can you and your child use our props to act out a very short moment? Maybe the child from another culture is sharing something with a friend, or showing something they loves to they family.
