How it works

  1. 1

First, let's gather our counting items. Place 5 safe kitchen items in front of your child. Say, 'Let's count these together!'

  2. 2

Now, let's add a little challenge. Take away one item and say, 'Now how many are left? Let's count again!'

  3. 3

Let's make it fun! Ask your child, 'Can you count these for your teddy/doll?' Encourage them to teach the toy.

  4. 4

Last round! Add one more item and say, 'Now we have a new friend! Let's count all of them together.'
