Neighborhood Helper Hunt

How it works

   First, let's talk about helpers we see around our neighborhood. Ask your child: 'Who helps us in our community? What do they do?'

   Now let's create our Helper Hunt map. Help your child draw or write the helpers we talked about. Ask: 'Where might we find these helpers? Let's put them on our map.'

   Now let's talk about how we can be helpers too. Ask your child: 'What are some ways we can help in our community? What rules help everyone stay safe and happy?'

4. 4

   Let's finish by placing our map somewhere special. Ask your child: 'Where should we put our Helper Hunt map? How can we use it to remember our community helpers?'
