How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by choosing 3-5 small objects from around the house that your child is familiar with—like a spoon, a sock, a toy car, a book, or a cup. Place them where your child can see them. Now, let's ask your child: 'Can you tell me what each of these things is called and what we use it for?'

  2. 2

Now, let's create simple picture clues or word clues on paper for each object. For example, draw a simple spoon or write 'something we eat with'. Hide the objects in easy-to-find spots in the room. Give your child the first clue and say: 'Let's use this clue to find the treasure! What do you think this clue is telling us to look for?'

  3. 3

After finding all objects, ask your child: 'Let's think about where we found each treasure. Can you tell me why each object was hidden in that spot? For example, why was the spoon near the kitchen?'
