How it works

  1. 1

Let's begin with a simple scenario. Show your child a drawing of a child taking a toy from another child without asking. Ask: 'What do you think about this? Is this a good choice or not-so-good choice?'

  2. 2

Now show a drawing of a child helping to clean up spilled water. Ask: 'What about this? Is this a good choice? Why?'

  3. 3

Let's use toys to act out: a toy car is blocking a doorway. Ask: 'If your child sees this, what's a good choice? What's a not-so-good choice?'

  4. 4

Create a scenario with two toys: one has a cookie, the other looks sad. Ask: 'What could the toy with the cookie do to be kind?'
