Backyard Balloon Balance
Parent and child work together to keep a balloon in the air using different body parts while moving through an outdoor obstacle course made from household items.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
What you'll need
Grab one balloon (inflated but not too full), and find 3-4 household items to create a simple path - like a towel, a small box, and a water bottle. Place them in a line with space between each.
How it works
- 1~30s
First, let's practice balancing with the balloon. Ask your child to stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Toss the balloon gently and have them tap it back to you using just their head. Watch how they maintain balance while looking up.

- 2~30s
Now let's add movement! Create a simple path with your household items. Ask your child to walk from item to item while keeping the balloon in the air using only their knees. Watch how they coordinate movement with ball control.

- 3~30s
Time for following directions! Call out different body parts for tapping - 'Use your shoulder!' 'Now your foot!' Watch how your child processes the instruction and coordinates their movement.
