What you'll need

Grab any basket, bag, or container you have handy. We'll use it to collect our nature treasures.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Let's start our treasure hunt! Look around your outdoor space together. Find three different natural items to put in your basket. They could be leaves, sticks, stones, flowers, or anything else from nature.

Watch for: How child searches for and selects natural items

  2. 2~30s

Now let's explore our treasures! Take out one item from your basket. Ask your child: 'What can you tell me about this treasure?' Listen to how they describe it.

Watch for: How child describes the natural item's attributes

  3. 3~30s

Let's play a sorting game with our treasures. Ask your child: 'Can you find all the items that are rough?' or 'Can you find all the green items?' Choose one category that fits your treasures.

Watch for: How child groups items by shared characteristics
