What you'll need

Find a small container like a bowl, basket, or draw a circle with chalk. That will be our target. We'll use whatever natural items we find around us.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

First, let's go on a quick treasure hunt! Help your child find 5-7 small, safe natural items. Think pinecones, smooth stones, fallen leaves, or small sticks. Say 'I found a treasure!' each time you pick something up together.

Watch for: Watch how your child searches for and selects natural items

  2. 2~30s

Now place your target about 3-5 feet away. Show your child how to hold their treasure in their hand, swing their arm gently backward, then forward to release. Let's practice tossing our treasures into the target!

Watch for: Watch how your child holds and releases the natural item when tossing toward the target

  3. 3~30s

Time for a challenge round! Ask your child to pick their favorite treasure. Can they toss it into the target while standing on one foot? Or with their eyes closed until you say 'toss'? Make it silly and fun!

Watch for: Watch how your child adapts their tossing when challenged with balance or listening tasks
