What you'll need

Prepare bath with 2-3 inches of warm water, have washcloth, child-safe shampoo, and plastic cup ready

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Let's start with safety first! Ask your child to dip their hand in the water and tell you how it feels. You can say, 'Can you be our water tester? Dip your hand and tell me if it's too hot, too cold, or just right!'

Watch for: Watch how your child tests and describes the water temperature

  2. 2~45s

Now for some independent washing! Hand your child the washcloth and say, 'Can you wash your arms like you're petting a puppy? Gentle circles make you clean!' Watch how they manage the washcloth.

Watch for: Watch how your child uses the washcloth to wash their arms and legs

  3. 3~60s

Time for hair washing! Say, 'Let's make a shampoo crown! Tip your head back, close your eyes tight, and I'll make magic bubbles.' Observe how they cooperate with the process.

Watch for: Watch your child's cooperation during hair washing and rinsing
