How it works
- 1
Let's begin! Ask your child to find and bring you 5 of the same small kitchen item, like 5 spoons or 5 crackers. Place them together on the counter.
- 2
Now, let's compare! Ask your child to find 3 of a different item. Place this new group next to the group of 5.
- 3
Now for a challenge! Ask your child to use items to show you what number comes right after 5. They can use the existing groups or new items.
- 4
Let's explore a pattern within 10. Ask your child to make two groups that together make 10. They can use any items.
