How it works

  1. 1

First, place the kitchen items on the tray and set it in front of your child. Say, 'Look what we have here! What do you think these things are?' Give your child a moment to look and reach.

  2. 2

Now encourage your child to explore how the items work. Say, 'Can you tap the spoon on the cup? What happens if you put the cup inside the container?'

  3. 3

Create a gentle challenge. Say, 'Let's see if we can stack the cup on top of the container. It might be tricky!' If it falls, observe how your child reacts.

  4. 4

Introduce a new element if you have optional materials, or use an item in a new way. Say, 'What if we put the fabric under the cup? Does it change the sound?'
