How it works

  1. 1

Let's begin with some gentle voice exploration. Make a soft 'ahhh' sound like you're sighing with contentment, and see if your child responds.

  2. 2

Now let's explore some object sounds. Gently tap the spoon against the plastic bottle. Make different rhythms - fast taps, slow taps. Watch how your child responds.

  3. 3

Time for some vocal back-and-forth! Using the paper towel roll as a 'megaphone,' make a sound into it, then offer it to your child. See what happens!

  4. 4

Let's combine everything! Make a sequence: your voice sound, then bottle tap, then megaphone sound. Pause after each and see if your child anticipates or joins in.
