Babbling Bubble Bath
A playful bath-time activity that encourages vocal experimentation through bubbles, water sounds, and responsive interactions.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Let's start by making some bubbles together. Scoop up some bubbles in your hand and gently blow them toward your child. As you blow, make a soft 'puh' or 'buh' sound. Watch how they responds to both the visual and sound stimulation.
- 2
Now let's play with water sounds. Use the cup to gently pour water while making flowing 'shhh' or 'splish' sounds. You can pour water over your child's hands or feet. Listen for how they responds to these different liquid sounds.
- 3
Let's try a call-and-response game. Make a simple sound like 'ba-ba-ba' or 'ga-ga-ga' with a clear rhythm. Pause and wait to see if your child responds. If they makes any sound, respond by imitating it or expanding on it.
- 4
Now let's explore volume play. Whisper very softly close to your child's ear, then make the same sound loudly (but not startling). You can use sounds like 'shhh' for whisper and 'SPLASH' for loud. Notice how they experiments with different volumes.
