How it works

Let's encourage your child to say out loud what they plans to do. Ask: 'What's your first step? Tell me what you're going to do.'

Now, as your child builds, encourage them to talk through what they're doing. Say: 'Tell me what you're doing while you build!'
- 3
If the tower falls or there's a challenge, prompt problem-solving words. Ask: 'Oh no! What happened? What can we try next?'
- 4
Near the end, ask your child to summarize what they built. Say: 'Tell me about your tower! How did you make it?'
