Magical Story Box Adventure

How it works

Great! Now, invite your child to peek inside the box with you. Ask, 'What could this box be? A spaceship? A treasure chest? A magical cave?' Encourage they to choose one idea and tell you what's inside or around it.

Now, pick up one of the objects, like a spoon. Say, 'Look, I found this in our story! What could it be?' Ask your child to imagine what the object becomes in the story and what happens next.

Hand your child another object, like a sock. Ask, 'Oh no! Something unexpected appears! What is it now, and how does it change our story?' Encourage they to explain what happens next.

Now, ask your child, 'How does our story end? Or what big adventure happens next?' See if they can bring the story to a close or set up a new chapter.
