Sound Safari Adventure
A playful sound exploration activity where you and your child discover different sounds around your home, helping them learn to distinguish and locate sounds.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Let's start with your voice. Say your child's name in a warm, sing-song way from about a foot away. Watch how your child responds.
- 2
Now let's try a different sound. If you have a rattle or shaker, gently shake it to one side of your child. If not, you can crinkle some paper or tap a spoon on a cup. Make the sound, pause, then make it again.
- 3
Let's play a little sound game. Make two different sounds - maybe your voice saying 'peek-a-boo' and then a shaking sound. Space them out by a few seconds and watch your child's reactions.
- 4
Now let's try a surprise sound. Move to a spot where your child can't see you easily (like slightly behind them) and make a gentle sound like a soft bell or saying 'boo' playfully.
