How it works

  1. 1

Great! Now let's look at our building materials. {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'What materials should we use to build our bridge? How can we make it strong enough for the animals to cross?'

  2. 2

Now let's start building! {Parent_name}, encourage your child to place the first supports. Ask: 'How should we make the bridge stable so it doesn't fall when animals walk?'

  3. 3

Time to test! {Parent_name}, place a toy animal on one end. Say: 'Oh no! Our giraffe is scared to cross. How can we make the bridge safer or more inviting?'

  4. 4

Now a challenge! {Parent_name}, move the chairs slightly farther apart. Say: 'Oops! Now our bridge is too short. How can we solve this without starting over?'
