Treasure Chest Climb
A fun activity where your child pulls up to standing using furniture to reach exciting objects placed just out of reach.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Great! Now, sit your child on the blanket facing the furniture with the objects. Let's encourage your child to reach upward. Say something like, 'Look at the treasures up here! Can you reach the blue scarf?' Watch how your child responds.
- 2
Now let's encourage your child to use the furniture for support. If they is still seated, gently place their hands on the furniture edge. Say, 'Can you hold on and push up with your legs?' Watch how your child uses the furniture.
- 3
Now let's see if your child can pull up to kneeling or standing. Keep encouraging with the treasures! Say, 'Almost there! Can you climb up to get the toy?' Watch their progress.
- 4
Let's celebrate whatever your child accomplished! If they reached standing, encourage reaching for a treasure. If still working on it, celebrate the effort. Say, 'You worked so hard! Should we try one more time or play with the treasures now?' Watch their reaction.
