How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by building a simple tower together. Show your child how to stack two items, then encourage {him_she} to add the next one. Say: 'Your turn! Can you add one more to our tower?'

  2. 2

Now let's build a taller tower. If it falls (or gently knock it over if it's stable), observe your child's reaction. Say: 'Oh no! Our tower fell. What should we do?'

  3. 3

Now challenge your child to build the tallest tower they can. Say: 'Let's see how tall you can make your own tower! I'll count while you build.'

  4. 4

After your child's tower eventually falls (or after 5 minutes), suggest a creative challenge. Say: 'Now let's build something different! Can you make a tower that looks like a rocket/a castle/a bridge?'
