How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by playing some music and encouraging your child to move freely to the beat. Say something like: 'Let's dance to the music! Show me how you can move your body to the beat!'

  2. 2

Now let's add a challenge. Pause the music suddenly and say: 'Freeze! Stop moving when the music stops!' Then restart the music after a few seconds.

  3. 3

Now let's change the music style. Switch to slower, softer music and say: 'The music changed! How does this music make you want to move?'

  4. 4

Let's add one more challenge. Alternate between fast and slow music, saying: 'Listen carefully! Move fast when the music is fast, and slow when the music is slow!'
