How it works

  1. 1

First, let's set up our treasure hunt. Show your child the items we have and say: 'We're going on a treasure hunt! Which two things should we look for first? You get to choose!'

  2. 2

Now hide the chosen items while your child covers {his_she} eyes or turns around. Then say: 'Our treasures are hidden! Where should we look first? You decide - should we check under the table, behind the chair, or in the toy box?'

  3. 3

After finding the first treasure, say: 'We found one! How should we celebrate finding it? Should we do a happy dance, give it a high-five, or put it in our basket with a cheer?'

  4. 4

When all treasures are found, say: 'We found everything! Now you get to decide what happens next. Should we: 1) Hide them again for another hunt, 2) Line them up and count them, or 3) Tell a story about our treasures?'
