How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by showing your child the basket. Point to it and say, 'Look what we have here!'

  2. 2

Now, take out one object—like the soft ball—hold it up, and say, 'Ooh, a ball! Can you point to it?'

  3. 3

Offer a choice between two objects—say, the cup and the spoon. Hold one in each hand and ask, 'Which one? Show me!'

  4. 4

Play a little game: hide an object slightly under a scarf in the basket and say, 'Where did it go? Can you find it?'
