Calm Cloud Breathing
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
First, let's get cozy. Sit with your child in your lap or beside you. Hold up the cotton ball and say, 'Look, this is our calm cloud. When we breathe slowly, it moves gently.' Show your child how to take a slow breath in and blow out softly to make the cloud wiggle.
- 2
Now, help your child try. Hold the cotton ball near their face and say, 'Let's breathe in slowly... and blow out to make the cloud dance.' Encourage them to take a deep breath and exhale gently toward the cotton ball.

Next, let's link this to feelings. Say, 'Sometimes we feel upset or wiggly inside. Our calm cloud breathing can help us feel steady.' Ask your child, 'Can we breathe with our cloud when we need to calm down?'

Finally, make it playful! Toss the cotton ball softly and say, 'Let's catch our calm cloud and breathe together.' Encourage your child to retrieve it, then sit and take three slow breaths as a team.
