How it works

  1. 1

First, explain the game to your child. Say: 'We're going to find hidden treasures! I'll give you clues, and you need to listen carefully and look around to find them. Ready?'

  2. 2

Give the first clue: 'Our first treasure is something we use for eating. It's shiny and near something soft. Can you find it?' Watch how your child searches.

  3. 3

Give a two-step clue: 'The next treasure is something blue AND it's under something. Let's find it!' Observe how your child handles multiple search criteria.

  4. 4

Introduce a deliberate distraction. Say: 'Oh look, I hear a bird outside! But wait—we need to find the next treasure. It's something round near the window.' Observe how your child manages the distraction.

  5. 5

For the final treasure, give a challenging clue: 'The last treasure is in a place you wouldn't expect. It's not on the floor or furniture. Think creatively!'
