Memory Match Challenge — Find the Hidden Treasure
A voice-guided memory game where the parent hides familiar objects under cups or cloths, and the child must remember which object is hidden where. The agent guides the family through increasing difficulty — from 3 objects up to 5 — and introduces distractions to challenge working memory.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
What you'll need
Parent gathers 5 opaque cups, bowls, or cloths and 5 small distinct objects. Arrange cups in a row on a flat surface. Keep objects visible to the side for now.
How it works
- 1~30s
Let's start with three objects. Show your child each one and name them together — really look at each one. Then, while your child watches, hide each object under a different cup. Give it a moment, and then ask your child: 'Where's the [object]?' Pick any of the three. Tell me how they does!
Watch for: Child correctly recalls the location of objects hidden under 3 cups
- 2~35s
Great job! Now let's add a fourth object and a twist. Hide four objects under four cups while your child watches. But this time, before you ask where anything is, I want you to count to ten together — nice and slow. That little wait makes the brain work harder! Then ask your child to find two of them. your child, do you think you can remember where they all are even after counting?
Watch for: Child recalls object locations after a brief delay with 4 items
- 3~40s
Okay, here's the championship round! Hide all five objects under five cups. But here's the sneaky part — after your child has seen where everything is, secretly swap two of the cups while your child closes their eyes for just a second. Then ask them to find all five. Tell me what happens — does your child notice the swap?
Watch for: Child attempts to recall 5 object locations and may detect a swap
