How it works

1. 1

   First, let's fill the bowl with water. Then, hold up the spoon and the rock. Ask your child: 'What do you think will happen if we put these in the water? Will they float or sink?'

2. 2

   Now, let's test the spoon and rock. Gently place them in the water one at a time. Ask your child: 'What happened? Was your guess right?'

3. 3

   Now let's test the cork and leaf. Ask your child: 'Do you think these will float or sink? Why?'

4. 4

   Test the cork and leaf. Then, hold up the toy. Ask your child: 'Before we test this, can you guess if it will float or sink? What makes you think that?'
