How it works

First, let's create a balance beam! Place a line of masking tape on the floor, or use a string. It should be about 6 feet long. Now, encourage your child to walk along the line, one foot in front of the other. Let's see how they does!

Now let's add a pillow challenge! Place 2-3 pillows or cushions in a row. Ask your child to step from one pillow to the next without touching the floor between them. Watch how they plans theyr movements.

Let's try a balancing pose! Ask your child to stand on one foot like a flamingo. Count together how long they can hold it. Then try the other foot!

Now let's combine everything! Create a mini course: walk the tape line, then step across the pillows, then do a flamingo pose at the end. Watch how your child sequences these movements.
