How it works

1. 1

   First, let's explore our instruments. Show your child the wooden spoon and plastic bowl. Say, 'Look, we can tap the bowl with the spoon! Your turn to try.'

2. 2

   Now let's take turns. Say, 'My turn!' and tap the bowl three times. Then say, 'your child's turn!' and pass the spoon. Encourage your child to wait and then take a turn.

3. 3

   Let's add another instrument. Give your child the empty plastic container. Say, 'Now we both have instruments! Let's take turns leading. First, I'll tap my bowl, then you tap your container.'

4. 4

   Time for a turn-taking duet! Say, 'Let's play a song. I'll tap twice, then you tap twice. Ready? Tap-tap... your turn!'
