How it works

1. 1

   Let's start with something simple. Show your child a spoon and say 'spoon' clearly. Then ask, 'Can you say spoon?'

   Now let's try a cup. Hold up a cup and say 'cup.' Ask your child, 'What is this? Cup!'

3. 3

   Let's try a food item. Show your child a banana and say 'banana.' Ask, 'Can you say banana?'

4. 4

   Let's play a little game. Put two items in front of your child - maybe the spoon and cup. Ask, 'Where's the spoon? Can you say spoon?'
