How it works

  1. 1

First, let's see what your child notices. Point to one piece of cereal on the tray and say, 'Look your child, can you get the treasure?'

  2. 2

Now, let's encourage your child to try reaching. Gently place your child's hand on the tray near a cereal piece. Say, 'Can your fingers find it?'

  3. 3

Let's make it a little trickier. Place a cereal piece just out of easy reach. Say, 'Oh no, this treasure is shy. Can you scoop it closer?'

  4. 4

For our last challenge, let's celebrate success. If your child has gathered some cereal, offer the silicone cup or bowl. Say, 'Let's put our treasures in the cup! Can you drop it in?' If not, just practice picking up one more piece together.
