How it works

    First, let's set up our pretend kitchen. Show your child the cups and toys. Say: 'your child, can you put the teddy bear in the blue cup?'

    Now let's try a different instruction. Say: 'your child, can you give the bunny a hug?'

  3. 3

    Let's try a cleaning instruction. Say: 'your child, can you wipe the table with the towel?'

  4. 4

    Let's try one more. Say: 'your child, can you tap the cup with the spoon?' (If you don't have a spoon, say 'tap the cup with your hand')
