How it works

  1. 1

First, let's get your child standing at the furniture. Gently help they stand up, facing the furniture with both hands holding on. Once they's steady, step back and give a big smile!

  2. 2

Now, let's encourage cruising sideways. Hold your child's favorite toy just out of reach along the furniture. Pat the spot next to it and say, 'Can you come get the toy?'

  3. 3

Let's try cruising forward now. Place the toy a little ahead on the furniture. Point to it and say, 'Let's walk to the toy!' Encourage your child to move toward it.

  4. 4

Now, let's make it a game! Place a few toys at different spots along the furniture. Say, 'Let's go on a treasure hunt!' Encourage your child to cruise to each one.
