Building a new family tradition together

Parent and child co-create a small, repeatable family tradition — Saturday pancakes, Sunday walk, Wednesday movie night, a birthday-eve routine. Agent coaches the parent to build it WITH the child, not announce it TO the child. Observations track the child's ownership and the tradition's emergence.

What you'll need

A quiet moment to plan together. Paper and pen to jot down the plan if they can draw it.

How it works

  1. 1~60s

Ask: 'What's something we could do together, every week?' Offer possibilities — Sunday pancakes, Friday pizza night, a morning walk, a special song. Let them pick or add their own.

  2. 2~60s

Pick the one. Nail down the details together. When, where, what exactly, what you each do. 'Every Saturday morning, we make pancakes. You stir, I pour. We eat on the rug in the living room.'

  3. 3~20s

Commit to the first time. 'This Saturday. Pancakes. You'll help me stir. Agreed?' Seal it with a handshake or a special word.
