A multi-session collaborative project

Parent and child start a project that spans multiple sessions — a garden, a model, a book they're making together. Agent coaches the parent on pacing across time and honouring the child's investment. Observations track return-to-project continuity and shared ownership.

What you'll need

Pick a project with clear beginning + middle + end. Have materials for session 1. Agree a place to store in-progress work.

How it works

  1. 1~60s

Pick the project together. A small book they writes and you illustrate. A garden patch they chooses seeds for. A model train track they designs. Something with steps across time.

  2. 2~120s

Do session one today. Not too much — just enough to feel real and establish the rhythm. Maybe the first two pages. The seeds planted. The first section of track laid.

  3. 3

Put the work away in its spot. Name when you'll come back. 'We'll work on it again Saturday.' Make the pause part of the ritual.
