Shared snack with narration

Parent and toddler sit together for a snack, with the parent narrating tastes, textures, and choices. Ritual of eating together builds rhythm, shared pleasure, and early food vocabulary. Agent coaches the parent to avoid pressure and to follow the child's pace.

What you'll need

Sit with your child — high chair, floor mat, small table. Offer a simple snack you both will eat. No pressure to finish.

How it works

  1. 1~60s

Sit at their level. Eat with them — don't just serve and supervise. If you eat a slice of apple, say 'mmm, apple.' Offer them one. See what they does.

  2. 2~60s

As they eats, name what they's experiencing. 'Crunchy!' 'Cold!' 'Sweet!' Simple, clear words. Make faces that match — surprise at sour, delight at sweet.

  3. 3

When they's done — even if they's eaten almost nothing — let it be done. 'All finished?' Clear the space together if you like.
