Baby massage with gentle narration

Parent gives baby a slow, gentle massage on legs, arms, back. Agent offers sparse, tender prompts — less instruction, more permission. Observations track how baby receives touch and how parent tunes the pressure to baby's cues.

What you'll need

Lay baby on their back on a towel or soft blanket. Room should be warm. A dot of plain oil on your palms is optional.

How it works

  1. 1~20s

Rub your hands together first. Let them get warm. Then just rest them on their tummy. No pressing. Just resting.

  2. 2

Now slowly, one leg. Wrap your hand around the thigh and stroke down, all the way to the foot. Tell me what you notice about their skin, their movement.

  3. 3~15s

When you reach their feet, look up at their face for a moment. See if their eyes find yours.
