Dance Party
Parent and child have a free dance session to different types of music. The agent coaches the parent to observe the child's creative movement, rhythm matching, and emotional expression through dance.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
What you'll need
Clear floor space. Music source with different genres available. Both parent and child ready to dance.
How it works
- 1~30s
Put on an upbeat song and DANCE! Both of you! Don't teach your child moves — just let them move however they wants. you, watch — does your child bounce? Spin? Wave arms? Stomp? Jump? How varied are their movements? Is they moving to the beat or doing their own thing?
Watch for: Child creates varied, expressive movements during free dance.
- 2~25s
Now switch the music to something very different — from fast to slow, or from pop to classical. Does your child change how they moves? Moving differently to different music shows aesthetic sensitivity — the ability to respond to artistic qualities.
Watch for: Child adjusts movement style when music changes, showing aesthetic sensitivity.
- 3~25s
Last game — take turns! Do a dance move and say 'your child, copy me!' Does they imitate? Then say 'Your turn — show ME a move!' Does your child create a move for you to copy? The shift from copying to creating is a key creative development step.
Watch for: Child creates original dance moves for parent to copy, showing creative initiative.
