See, Hear, Think, Feel Chat

A guided mini-conversation that creates real opportunities for your child to talk with you (and ideally another person) about what they see, hear, think, and feel—using simple, toddler-friendly prompts and choices.

What you'll need

Essentials

  • one shared focus (a window view OR a picture book page OR a household object)
  • a quiet-ish moment (reduced background noise helps)

Nice to have

  • a second person (another adult or child) to join the chat
  • a favourite soft toy (for pretend turn-taking)

Movement level: low

What you'll do

The 4-step guide, with what to look for at each step, is for signed-in parents.
