Ready-Set Routine Rhythm
A short, everyday routine game where you slow down a familiar sequence (like handwashing or snack) to highlight the repeating pattern of steps, using simple 'first/then/next' language and pauses so your child can anticipate what comes next.
What you'll need
Essentials
- one familiar daily routine moment (e.g., handwashing, getting shoes on, snack time)
- your voice and a few extra seconds to slow the routine down
Nice to have
- 2–3 routine objects to hold and name (e.g., soap, towel, bib, cup, shoe)
- a small towel or cloth (if choosing handwashing)
Movement level: low
What you'll do
The 4-step guide, with what to look for at each step, is for signed-in parents.
