Count Into the Bowl

A hands-on counting game where your child counts objects up to 10 by moving each into a ‘counted’ bowl, then tries counting beyond 10 when motivated, using simple strategies to avoid double-counting.

  • 2 bowls/containers (one ‘not counted’, one ‘counted’)

Nice to have

  • a tray or tea towel (to define the counting space)
  • paper and pen (optional, to write the total)

Movement level: low

What you'll do

The 4-step guide, with what to look for at each step, is for signed-in parents.
